Not much to report really. Clark's in Punta Reinas, Costa Rica (couldn't quite hear the last part) doing some repairs. Sounds like Bill Hoffman and Brian Sherman will be down there to visit. At different times of course but visiting nonetheless. He's having trouble getting to any kind of "Internet Cafe" so at this point voicemail would be better.

I took the background picture off of these pages due to a long, long download time for most people out there. It's kind of boring looking now but I'm working on it.

Just received a good size e-mail from Clark. It's a great run-down on what he's done, doing now, going to do...plus some good info if you're going to travel in Mexico. Read it here.

Clark's Still in Playa Del Coco. Jim & Mal Smith are down there now vacationing. Elias and his brother will be there next weekend as well. Clark plans to be in Tamarindo by the 23rd of June and then in Quepos from the 1st of July through the next several months. (New Years in Quepos?)

*Whew* Clark is safe and sound in Playa del Coco, Costa Rica. He'll be in the city of Costa Rica for quite a few months so contact him via e-mail if your interested in heading down to visit. Apparently, the phone system is horrible down there so he will not be checking the voicemail as much.

QUE HORROR!! Wow. Clark has officially had his first "sailing adventure." Thank god he had help. Seymour was riding along for this treacherous stretch between Puerto Madero, Mexico to Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala. It's a riveting story...I laughed, I cried...it became a part of me. See it here.

Clark is hanging out in JuaTUUUULco Mexico, waiting for his dad to arrive. They will then cross the Gulf of Tuantapec...landing in the southernmost point of Mexico, Punto Madero. From there, they will head to Guatemala and then finally Costa Rica. He's not sure when he will be getting to a phone again so communications will be limited.

Here's the latest...Clark should be en route to Puerto Escondido as of today. I believe John Caron was flying down, arriving yesterday the 25th. Surf is good there.

Clark's in Mexico City for a bit. He sent out an e-mail on his latest adventures. It's kind of long for this page so you can click here for the whole thing.

Clark's in Acupulco as of April 2nd. He plans on hanging out there for as little as 3 days or as much as 2 weeks. No word on whether he will be staying at Club Vayma.

I added a second page of photos. You can get to them directly here.

Nothing new yet. Maybe he's taking a bit longer than expected to get to Zihuatenejo.

Well, my inside source is behind schedule so I'll do a quick update. Clark passed his HAM radio and morse code exams. He set sail again on the 18th. I don't know if he has anyone with him this time...could be a solo shot. He'll be hitting Manzanillo then on to Zihuatenejo by the 27th.

Today is Saint Patricks Day. Also known as "Reinforcin' O' the Stereotypes". One of the correspondents from Clarks birthday extravaganza is writing up a little something on what happened down there last week. Stay tuned.
Also, you can e-mail Clark at clark@condesa.org if you want to drop him a message.

I finally got some pictures from Clark so I thought I would change the look up a bit. The background on this page and a few others is the Condesa. Let me know if you like or dislike.
First set of pictures are online. Hit the photos link.

I am not sure where to start on this one. I did not attend Clark's 30th Birthday Party in Mexico City but I did have a couple of correspondents down there feeding me the scoop. Most of what happened can't even be explained to the standard 1999 human mind and it's "limitations". I will be speaking with one of the correspondents tonight and will do a full report very soon. This will include many pictures for that picture link over there.
In Sailing news...After two 15 hour bus rides from Mexico City to the boat, then the boat to Zihuatenejo to visit his Brother David and wife Stephanie...Clark is back to his boat in Bada de Navidad. He will be heading up to Puerto Vallarta to take his Ham Radio Exam, then will be off to Merijuata(sp?) and Rio Nextra next week.

Well...off they go. This is the big weekend bash for Clark's 30th Birthday in Mexico City. Jamie Kiskis, Jim and Mal Smith, Janis Crum, Sutton, The Parkers, Al, Vega$...are either on there way or have already arrived. Some of the weekends activities will include:
-VIP room (and treatment I might add) at Club Colmillo
-Hairless Dutch boys
-Canals of Xochimilco
-Bazaar del Sabado
-Tepotzlan at Amandas? *UNCONFIRMED*
-Steamroom is functioning *CONFIRMED*
-Dwarves! *LIMITED SUPPLY*
Let's be careful down there.

Just confirmed...Vega$ will be attending the big B-day bash, along with Al the Ape. Vega$ and Al, coincidentally, were already in Acapulco, working diligently with the hostage negotiation team to free the captured father of Jorge Campos...star Mexican National Soccer Team goaltender, as well as long time Vega$ confidant. Note: for those who don't know...Jorge's father was kidnapped by several well armed militant guerillas. Al was brought along because "I speak their language".
Vega$ and Al, compliments of the Mexican government, will be spending the next several days until the
party in the laps of luxury at Club Vayma with personal Dwarves...Daveed, One-Eye, and Lucky...body-surfing at "Widowmakers" and lagoon rides with Diego?

Well, as of the 19th, Clark and Amanda are still in what I believe he said to be "Carees"? He speaks Spanish so quickly and fluently I have trouble understanding. He's running a little "behind" as he says but come on...how does one run behind on a self-paced round the world sailing trip? Unknown. He said he'd be in Manzanillo around the middle of this week.
Correction on that trip across the gulf...Carl Wood was
also with that group. Condesa.org humbly regrets the omission.

Looks like Clark is now resting comfortably in Puerto Vallarta for the next week. If anyone is even reading this stuff let me know. You can e-mail me here.
